Wanderers
Wanderers, those who used to be in a group or were born out of one, who currently wander the landscape in search of a place to call home or just to find various secrets. No one really knows who most of these are, as the majority were never born into packs or kingdoms, usually coming from small groups or camps. Often these wolves have the most... interesting stories to tell.
Residences
Camps are where most of these wanderers reside, a small area sometimes with a barrier, containing multiple hut-like structures, a small fire-pit and an extra area for emergencies or storage. Depending on how many wolves the wanderer is traveling or residing with, the area could be barricaded or only hold a few huts. There normally isn't a specially made flag, or even a lot of guards unless the group plans to become something bigger like a kingdom or pack. However this type of residence is hard to move, takes a long time to create and is the easiest for a group to discover if the wanderers camp on already claimed territory.
Caves are less common but still an option for wanderers to reside in. Likely it has a few trinket items, and the wanderers that use these are either alone or only travelling as a pair. However caves are a little more difficult to acquire, as most caves are homes to other animals such as bears or even seavia cats. These are hard to come by compared to make-shift den sites but are useful to those trying to keep a low profile.
Make-Shift Den Sites the most common of the residences that wanderers claim or create when needing to get out of the weather. The den sites are small dug out indents in the earth, which normally are going slightly into the side of a hill or ridge so that they are more safe or protected from the elements. They are easy to discover scents from, though are easy to prepare and to find for a single wolf.
Joining an Established Group
If you wish to join the pack as a Wanderer, you must become a lower ranking pack member (these exclude general high ranks, and any “special” status canine. The other ranks are fair game if you choose to be a pack member), and gain your status if you wish to become higher. Try not to do this through malicious means. You also can never become a royal or leader, unless it's through “marriage” or becoming mates (or making your own pack if outside of one).
General Dangers and Survival
As with most creatures, its dangerous to travel alone. The hunting is harder, the building of shelters takes longer and most groups aside from your own would likely threaten or kill you if you step a paw on their land. However with how difficult it is to survive, it also gives you plenty of options or opportunities to do anything, as you'd be living on your own rules with your own morals. Regardless, it is recommended that you stay out of other pack territories, unless you either have a death wish or wish to join the group and stay where you might find smaller prey to hunt or find fellow Wanderers to trust and set up a group with to increase your survival rates. Just be smart when out on your own.
