Larid Wolf

-
The most common kind of wolf, similar in structure and size to Earth's Grey Wolf. They range from 20 in to 36 in (adult at the shoulders) and 51 lbs to 130 lbs (adult), often being thin legged and more muscled in the back (not specific though, just commonly). They sometimes have small manes in the back, though it isn't very common.
-
Larid wolves are often in pack or kingdom like groups all across the main land, mostly in the forested areas. Mixes of these with the other wolf variants are the most common, although Yiraa and Thaerin mixes still aren't that likely.
"Land Wolf"
"Beach/Desert Wolf"
-
Less common and similar in structure to Earth's Maned Wolf, they live close to the deserts and beach areas near the edges of the island. They range from 35 in to 39 in (adult at the shoulders) and 50 lbs to 80 lbs (adult). They rarely ever go out to the mainland, mostly going to the oasis near the west marketplace. They are extremely secluded, as well as shy, and only really stick to their small groups. They are most often taller than Larid Wolves, though still shorter than Paryllans, and have a longer body. Their paws are small and heat resistant, their tail is thin, their body is very slender and the majority of their height is their longer legs. Their ears are large with long fluff to keep out the sand.
-
To make it easier to see, Yiraa Wolves often have darker fur around their eyes and in their general facial area. A small amount of Yiraa wolves have webbed toes which are likely from their past ancestors swimming to the island or simply from evolution. They only rarely go out to the marketplace, only really sending one wolf with the designated rank to go there. The majority of the Yiraa population lives in the Ameryon village and members rarely ever leave said village unless they set out as a group to move to another area for a village. This makes mixes or pure wanderers with this type of wolf extremely rare!

Please note that a pure of this wolf would have to be paid for. Please look to the shops for an item to allow you to have a pure of this type.
*In order to create a pure one of these variants, you must purchase an encrusted seal item from one of the marketplaces.
Yiraa Wolf

"Mountain Wolf"
-
One of the least common wolves to find and similar in structure to Earth's Extinct Dire Wolf, they are found in the mountains, though they're not a huge population. They range from 40 in to 50 in (adult at the shoulders) and 110 lbs to 175 lbs (adult). They rarely ever go into the mainland unless it is to travel, gather items or hunt. They have a larger head, romanian or tilted nose and a bit of an overbite. Their fur is thicker than the other wolves due to their adaptation to the mountain's harsh, cold temperatures. Their ears are smaller and their face is more sloped than the average Larid wolf, making them look different from their counterparts. Their top canines are also slightly longer than normal.
-
Thaerin Wolves are the only type of wolf to be known in taking down a seavia cat, as well as only existing in groups called "tribes". These are lead by the eldest members and the majority of the tribe are military ranked. They mostly don't have powers, however those that do are normally strength or powerful element based. Due to their rather secluded nature, it is extremely rare to find pure wanderers out in the main land. However it is only uncommon to find mixes with them around the more mountainous areas.

Thaerin Wolf

"Winged/Sky Wolf"
-
These wolves have feathered wings that can vary in size , and are often asked to be scouting ranks. They are not overly common, sometimes being unable to use their wings due to stunted growth or lack of strength. They range from 32 in to 43 in (adult at the shoulders) and 65 lbs to 125 lbs (adult), having a more lithe and aerodynamic shape to their body. The average wingspan of a Paryllan Wolf is 5ft 5 in to 7ft (adult), with the largest known wingspan being around 10 ft (cannot go higher than this). Any wingspan less than the lowest average are unable to lift the wolf off the ground. They are often more flexible than the Larid Wolves to make it easier to navigate areas and fly, as well as often having more bones in the spine to give that flexibility. Their strongest muscles are in their back, especially in their wings. One very clear and a tell sign that a wolf is this species (aside from the obvious wings) is their special feather mane like crests and their feathers on their rim tailbones. Paryllan wolves have a different power set from the other wolf species, and will never have any of the powers as Larid, Yiraa or Thaerin wolves.
-
The crests are styled based on status and grooming in a pack. Wanderers of this type often have very rough and mangled feathers, as they aren't often preening their feathers. Aside from the grooming status, Paryllan wolves will puff up their crests and tailfeathers, raising their wings as well, in a threatening defense, when feeling angered, surprised or threatened. There is a mutation, however, that makes it so the wings never appear or are heavily feathered stubs. This is very common between a pair with Paryllan heritage, a pair with only one Paryllan or one that has the mutation. This simply means they don't have the wings, but still carry the rest of the characteristics. Sometimes the feathers become a bit more colorful than the rest of the Paryllan's base, though this is highly uncommon (must be accepted by the owner/co-owner for this). These wolves are still uncommon to see pure or mixed out in the mainland.
Paryllan Wolf

Wolf Variants
As with Earth hybrids, hybrids on Osarade are extremely rare and circumstantial. Meaning you likely can only have 2 total active per member. You are not allowed to make one without an encrusted seal purchased that allows you to make one and each one has certain limitations. None of these hybrids can have or develop powers or wings under any circumstance.
"Coyote-Wolf Hybrid"
-
These hybrids are similar in structure to Earth's CoyWolf Hybrids. Normally born to a Wanderer and a coyote, Checiens are smaller than most the wolves, only coming in at around 23 in to 30 in (adult at shoulders) and 30 lbs to 60 lbs (adult). Their fur and features range depending on their wolf parent and, similarly to Paryllans without wings, can have feathered features if one parent was a Paryllan.
-
They aren't often seen in groups, but mostly as Wanderers. They most often have broken speech, especially if they were raised with their Coyote parent. This makes it difficult to speak with these hybrids, but they are incredibly useful for making alliances with coyote groups as they can translate both to the group and the coyotes.
-
Please note that this hybrid would have to be paid for. Please look to the shops for an item to allow you to have this hybrid.
